Just in time for the NEW YEAR!

Hey everyone! It’s been quite some time since I’ve blogged. I apologize to those who still check my page or visit from time to time! 2012 was a very long year…The best quote for 2012 would be:  “When one door closes, another door opens”. Basically things happens, get over it! Anyway, with great friends/people in my life,  I was able to start 2013 fresh. And I must say it has been an AMAZING year so far. I hope 2013 has treated you all very well, if not 2014 will be get even better!

For this comeback post, I wanted to go over some of my December beauty product favs!

1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow – Moondust Collection – StarGazer (click here) & Space Cowboy (click here)

I love love Urban Decay’s packaging! It is always so sleek, colorful, and visually pleasing.

StarGazer (Left) and Space Cowboy (Right)

Urban Decay eyeshadows are known to be highly pigmented. These colors are great for this holiday season as they are also very glittery and sparkly.

Color Swatches – StarGazer (Left) and Space Cowboy (Right)

These shadows are awesome and can be used alone or paired with other colors in your shadow palette. I’m excited to use stargazer for the upcoming NYE. Space cowboy is a bit more natural and can be used as a natural shade for daytime. The shimmer is absolutely beautiful!

IMG_36052. Lioele Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base (Left) & Blooming Gloss in Flower Pink (Right)

Beautiful packaging with a cute princess carriage as their logo!

Lioele is one of my favorite Korean makeup brands, they have a HUGE range of products.

My long time favorite is their Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base. It is a very lightweight makeup primer. I’ve used many different department store primers in the past such as: Smashbox, Laura Mercier, and etc, but I’ve always come back to this one.

This primer smells SOO good, very fresh, and makes you feel really pretty. I have super sensitive and combination skin but the primer keeps my skin matte without making you washed out. The shimmer isn’t overpowering and it gives your skin a healthy glow. The most important part? This primer DOES NOT break me out! This shimmer pearl base can be used before applying your favorite foundation or applied as a highlighter after foundation.

Lioele blooming gloss in Flower pink is a natural pink gloss for your every day look. Wear alone or paired onto of lipstick. This lip gloss smells like fresh strawberries!!

3. Dolly Wink – Liquid Eyeliner in Black (Click Here)

Dolly wink is a Japanese makeup brands known for the line for eye makeups. I used to use pencil eyeliner religiously, but ever since I discovered Dolly Wink,  I am completely hooked!!

As you can see this liquid liner pen is extremely fine made for perfect precision. I used to avoid liquid eyeliners because I felt they were hard to use and control, but this pen gives you full control. It’s also easy to clean off if you make a boo-boo. Just simply take a cotton swab with some makeup remover or water to fix your mistake.

As you can see below, it is easy to create thin black lines. This will let you get extremely close to your eyelash line or waterline. IMG_3610Stay tuned as there will be more posts and the look of the blog will get revamped shortly :)

Hey all, as promised I’m back with some makeup hauls!

First off, I wanted to share my ALL TIME favorite eyeliner that I have been using for years. I’ve tried many brands from drugstore to expensive department store ones, but I’ve always found myself coming back to this particular one.

CoverGirl’s Perfect Point Plus in ONYX. I also picked up the espresso one since both of them are versatile for everyday.

CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus in ONYX & ESPRESSO (Find HERE)

I just drew a simple line for swatch references to show how easy it is to draw a straight line. This eyeliner is a bit more fallout and smudgeproof than most, which is why I love it so much. It is extremely easy to handle! This will be favorable for those who do not like liquid liners.

The smudger tip has a nice angle that is great for blending, smudging, and creating the perfect wing.

See how pigmented this liner is? It has the perfect consistency between a pencil and gel/creme.

The second item I hauled is Laura Mercier‘s Smooth Focus Pressed Setting Powder/Shine Control in MATTE TRANSLUCENT. (Find Here)

The packaging is very clean and sleek. I especially love the deep purple compact with teeny silver speckles.

I finally purchased this after reading multiple reviews on this product and I absolutely love it. It is everything everyone says it is. It absorbs all the oil on your face, keeping it matte without it looking cake-y or pasty.

Third item I hauled is L’Oreal‘s Infallible Eyeshadow in Midnight Blue. (Find Here)

This color is super pigmented and slightly glittery! I will swatch and do a look with this color soon.

To end this post, I ‘ll show you these two great colors I got from the nail store today. Essie‘s Sequin Sash & Zoya‘s Rica.

Zoya’s Rica is a pink coral leaning slightly more orange. I’m obsessed with this color for it’s perfect for spring/summer. Essie’s Sequin Sash is a nude/beige with silver specks, great for anytime of the year.

Have a good Monday everyone!

I hope you guys enjoyed the long post, I will be be back shortly with more goodies I’ve hauled. I cannot wait to show you my Michael Kor’s Carla Sandal. I will review those and more! =]

Happy February!

Hi All! I’m alive!! First off, Happy belated NEW YEARS! I’m super excited to welcome 2012! Hopefully this will be a great year for all of us!

I can’t believe it’s already February, where has the time gone? I do apologize for being on a little hiatus. I’ve been super swamped from work, but I am definitely ready to jump right back in with fresh new posts!!

Please stay tuned for some new goodies I’ve hauled recently! :D

Hey guys, I’m really excited to show you guys my new purse haul. Hopefully this will make up for my lack of posting the past week! My apologies! Work + finals was catching up to me, big time.

I’ve been searching for the perfect side bag for the longest time and I finally found mine at Nordstrom Rack today!!

I am absolutely in love with this super spacious bag! The leather is extremely soft and high in quality. The original price runs at $225.00 retail and it was on sale for $109.97. But since I had $50 giftcard, I paid about $70 out of pocket.

Here’s the lovely dust bag that came with it. I just adore the cute tag-line on this!

The inside has a small zipped inner pocket.

The inner front side has a small slot fit for a cellphone.

Detail shot of the front of the side purse. I love that it has three adjustable slots on the strap. You can wear it as a side purse, mid or small handbag.

Look at all the stuff that fits into this purse! It’s pretty crazy how spacious this bag is. Even with all these things in it, the bag doesn’t look over-stuffed.

Just wanted to show you guys all the things that were in the bag. Crazy huh?

Hooray to another successful haul! Now it’s time to finish my Christmas shopping tomorrow. Until next time, happy shopping and Happy Holidays!! =]

12.2.11: My Loves of Fridays

, , , , , , ,

I wanted to do something different for this Friday’s segment of My Love for Fridays and talk about “Like Crazy” the movie I saw with my friend today. The movie completely blew me away since I went in thinking it would be cheesy and corny! But it was nothing close to what I thought it would be.

The roles of Anna and Jacob are played by British actress Felicity Jones and American Actor Anton Yelchin. The movie tackles long distance relationships in a more realistic way. It portrays the hardship and passion of a young couple trying to make their relationship despite being separate due to a violation of a travel Visa.

It’s was very bittersweet, well-acted enough to be believable. I also loved the simple yet stylish outfits worn by Felicity Jones in this film. Now I’m absolutely OBSESSED with High-waisted pleated dress pants.Donna Karan Pleated Wool Trousers (Find Here)

These are the closest ones I could find comparable to the one that Felicity Jones wore in the movie. Her pair had a thinner waistband with belt loops. She paired her pants with a simple striped boat-neck 3/4 sleeve shirt with a simple thin brown belt.

Dorothy Perkins Floral Blouse (Find Here)

I also loved the floral blouses she wore with bright contrasting skirts. I used this lovely feminine see-through blouse as an example. You can easily pair any blouse tucked into shorts, pants, or skirt to mimic her look.

Here’s to my search for the perfect pair of pleated high-waisted dress pants! I will keep you all updated.

Guest Blogger! Java from A Taste of Temptation.

Hey guys, I’m so excited to be a guest blogger for my dear friend. Anywhoo, my name is Janie. I also run a collaborative blog at www.atasteoftemptation.com, which Ren is also a part of.  So don’t forget to check us out! Anyway, I wanted to do an OOTD post for you guys.

This is a casual look that is great for the cold weather. I love layers because you never know how warm it can be indoors even when it’s freezing outside. This is especially the case whenever I go to the mall. They always seem to be cranking their heaters up to max! Here’s the look:

I’m kinda getting used to taking pictures with the timer..so excuse the cut off because I’m actually taking the picture in my cubicle at work =X

You can see my boots in this picture, well..the tops of my boots anyway. Haha. I promise I will get better at taking these pictures. I should probably invest in one of those remote clickers or something.

Items Worn:

H&M tank top in brown [similar here]

American Eagle fitted striped ¾ sleeve button up [similar here]

Victoria’s Secret cardigan [similar here / here]

Pacsun super skinny jeans short [similar here / here]

H&M black scarf [similar here]

Steve Madden bootsBonanza [same here]

Kept my makeup really clean and simple as I spent the time curling my hair instead ^_^

My nails were Essie Steel-ing the Scene with a layer of OPI I Juggle Men from the Femme de Cirque collection:

The color is like liquid gold. But as you can see in the closeup, it is very streaky. I believe this was 3 coats of Essie and 1 coat of OPI with an additional base and top coat

Well, hope you guys liked the look! I should go work on a post for my site as well! Bye! <3

Tart, Tart, Tarte

Hey all! It has been awhile since I had a real post. Thanks to those who participated in my Poll. You can still vote anytime! (REFER TO POLL SECTION IN CATEGORIES) I will definitely take the results into consideration.

So moving on to more exciting news. I received my package from Sephora today! Aside from my  Bareminerals Mineral Veil and Bisque refill, I also picked up the new Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Blissful. I’ve been using Nars blush in Orgasm for such a long time that I wanted to try out something new. I will compare and contrast the two blushes for you guys when I try them out.

Along with my package, I received my cute HELLO KITTY makeup pouch with 12 awesome samples!! It was free from last weeks promotions. I believe there was also a Tokidoki and Kat Von D. pouch to choose from.

I can’t believe how giddy I am over a darn bag. =] Until Friday, hope you guys have a fabulous tomorrow!

9.25.11 ~ Loves of Friday!

, , , ,

Hey guys! Apologies for the lack of update! It’s been a busy week! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your love ones! It’s time for my loves of Fridays again!

My favorite pieces from BCBG MAX AZRIA‘S SPRING 2012 RTW line. I love the beautiful color blocking mixed with the lightweight silks.

H20+ FACE OASIS – SHINE NEUTRALIZING GEL

My current favorite face moisturizer from H20’s Face Oasis line (Find Here). It’s a super light weight water based gel that’s not sticky or heavy. It’s perfect for my combination skin. Those who have an oily t-zone, I strongly recommend it. My only dissatisfaction is the scent. I expect it to smell more like the “ocean” but it has a slight chemical smell to it.

Lastly, my favorite thing of this Friday is a music video/song called “Best Friends” by Jason Chen. He’s a singer/songwriter who covers popular songs on Youtube. Chen also has many self produced songs. Isn’t this song/video simply so sweet? Such great talent!

I hope you all have a great weekend!  I promise I will be updating a bit more over the week to makeup for my lack of posts! Stay tuned! <3

My Loves of Fridays!

Time for my loves of Fridays! (Seriously, who doesn’t love Fridays? TGIF!)

So moving on I just wanted to share a couple of things that I’m absolutely adoring this week.

Celine – Spring/Summer RTW 2012

Look at those luscious pants. So lovely! Oh Pheobe Philo, you never cease to amaze me.

GivenchySpring/Summer RTW 2012

Aren’t these killer shoes lovely?? Pink, feminine, but still pretty edgy.

Swarovski – Helios Desert Glow Bracelet (Same Here)

Mm sparkly and bold! It’s more beautiful in person.

Nars – Danmari All About Cheeks Palette *Limited* (Same Here)

What a steal for only $65? I usually just purchase their blush in Orgasm and that’s already $27. This will be a great gift palette!

Urban Decay – 15th Anniversary Palette (Same Here)

Oh MAN, I think every girl is obsessing over this palette. What’s not to love? GREAT colors for your every day looks and girl’s night out. If you are not familiar with Urban Decay, their colors are SO pigmented and creamy.

Les Tai Tai – Model Mirror in Hippy Skull II (Same Here)

My last love of today and I’m obsessing over it! The bronze gold skull design is beautiful. I believe it was made in dedication for the late Alexander Mcqueen. What an awesome mirror! We would never have to worry about not having sufficient lighting.

I think it’s time for another haul!!
